PLOUM Engineering is a small consulting engineering company, existing since March 1990 and has been successful in the working areas as described below.
During the years, coating technology and -techniques have become more an important part of the activities.

During project handling, information, knowledge and experience are transferred to the customer as soon as possible.

The work is done by Ruud Ploum personally and only for activities, which do not belong to the core-business of PLOUM Engineering, the support of professional and very experienced colleagues is invoked.

This website actually is a virtual catalogue, enabling visitors to verify if the services rendered by PLOUM Engineering match their needs. The provision of information will be completed with a modest "engineering library", which has to be extended in the future and with which we intend to serve our visitors.

In order to safeguard independency and neutrality, all services are being rendered according to the rules of conduct, as defined by the Dutch Royal Institute of Engineers (Kivi) and the council of Dutch consulting engineers ("ONRI")

After finalizing design and engineering of the equipment to be build, deliberation with the customer takes place in order to achieve consensus regarding the technical specifications. This enables the purchasing department to perform requisitioning and procurement freely, as where support can be supplied.

It is not of importance, who builds the equipment, as long as it complies with the technical specifications. Therefore it remains possible for PLOUM Engineering to guarantee the performance of the equipment.
As a constraint, the utilities and the properties of the products to be treated, have to fall within the parameter window of the equipments design and has to comply with the agreements made with the customer.

We have developed specific software tools ourselves and we use commercial software, like: Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Excel, Autocad with on-top applications, other MS-office programms, simulation software, Acrobat software, Fest Fluiddraw, etc.
