General
|
It may be neccessary to treat exhausts and/or airflows, that arte polluted with matter and/or smell, thermal in order to break down these components sufficiently into harmless or beter treatable components. For example VOC reduction from paintplants.
It is also possible to make inertgas generators, by producing flue gasses in a combustion process, with a defined and reproducible composition, and which can be used to operate processes and equipment under an inert atmosphere.
For thermal gas treatment, various thermal techniques exist like incineration, regenerative thermal oxidation, catalytic combustion etcetera. Sometimes it is possible to chose a process integral solution where the processheat released, can be applied in a useful way.
The blending behaviour of hot gasses with colder gasses is, at increasing temperatures, a growing problem because the viscosity increases progressively with the temperature. The design of these kind of plants requires specifc knowledge and experience.
