DUST SEPARATION |
 |
General
|
There are several reasons why dust particles have to be removed from a gasflow. These reasons can be of an environmental, procestechnical and/or economical kind. The separation of dust particles from an air-, gas- or vapourflow requires techniques that are, among others, depending of the cornspectrum and behaviour of the matter to be separated and the properties of the gas or medium in which it is carried.
The separation of dust particles from an air-, gas - or vapourflow can affect the performance of the applied equipment in a way, that the limits of the required performance are exceeded. Relevant knowledge regarding this kind of behaviour is important for the design.

Certain kinds of dust can form hazardous mixtures in air if the concentration matches those conditions. When designing equipment, this has to be taken into consideration. Effective measures are due, in order to prevent from hazardous situations and/or to limitate the consequences of an occurring dustexplosion. This requires knowledge and insight in as well condition and behaviour ralated aspects of the material, the equipment and the explosionprocess as the possibilities and measures to anticipate.
Because PLOUM Engineering is as well technologically as commercially independent, clients can be served with the best fitting solutions to their problems, based on knowledge and experience.
